What: Introduction to Food and Gardening When: Friday 9th June at 6-7.30 pm Where: Bright Food Co-op -upstairs at Dumu cafe 4 Ireland St.

Bright Food Co-op and Alpine Multi Skill Group present a series of Workshops on Food and Gardening.

These workshops are designed to gain knowledge and skills to improve food resilience for you and those around you, but mostly about having fun!.

Join us for some 'The Peaks' local cheese and a beverage while we introduce you to this exciting series of workshops. Led by Julie Savage, from the Bright Food Co-op and a local grower at Lomandra Farm, we will firstly explore the benefits of shopping at the Co-op with its range of bulk goods at reduced prices and produce from local famers. Enjoy a ‘Happy shopper’ session where you will receive member prices on the Co-op goods - Bring your re-useable jars and bags and stock up on chemical free staples, while you learn new skills in food and gardening.

We will aim to provide you with the skills to grow your own food or understand how to get good, healthy chemical-free food and why this is important.

During the workshop series, we will explore making meals from scratch, growing your own food, sourcing produce from local farmers. saving seeds, herbal medicine, growing your own plants, foraging, making gifts and household goods. brewing, wine-making, fermenting, plant propagation amongst many other offerings!

Join us for a lovely evening of good food, beverages, conversation and shopping.
